ABOUT MARK

Mark discovered his passion for music and flying at a very young age.  He didn't quite have the grades to be a pilot so he chose a career in broadcasting. After 16 years in the radio industry on a variety of local and national stations, Mark realised that his desire to go flying had not gone away.  After a few intense months of training in the Gulf of Mexico, scaring the living daylight out of himslef, his instructor and the odd alligator, eventually culminated in a pilot's licence.

On return to Ireland, Mark was hired  by Ryanair and subsequently Cityjet, Flybe and more recently Swiss Airlines.

Radio has never been far from Mark's mind though, highlighted by the fact that on a recent flight he intended to say "This is your Captain speaking. Hope you're enjoying your flight.  We will be landing in about an hour", but what he actually said  was. "This is your Captain speaking... and I'm gonna dedicate this one to everyone in row 36 who wanted to Baccara -  Yes Sir I can Boogie!"
