ABOUT GARETH

Gareth O'Callaghan has been broadcasting since he was 17 years of age. His radio career began in 1979, where he worked for a variety of legendary pirate radio stations including Radio Dublin, Radio Nova and even aboard Ross Revenge, a ship in the middle of the north sea which was home to Radio Caroline. Gareth trained as a journalist with the BBC during the mid-1980s and returned to work with Ireland’s national broadcaster in 1987 where he quickly became one of the stations Top 10 radio presenters of all time.

Gareth, who is a qualified psychotherapist specialising in psychology and spirituality, took a break from his radio career in 2005 to focus on working in the field of mental health and behavioural wellbeing.
